Zanzibar Residence is the result of the vision of founders Nicola and Alessandro, who, since 2014, have brought an innovative hospitality concept to the island of Zanzibar.
Through a project that combines the comfort of home with the amenities of a hotel, they created a series of residences that offer an authentic African experience, fully immersed in the local culture and natural beauty.
The first step on this journey was Breeze Residence, inaugurated in 2015.
Nestled within tropical vegetation and just a short distance from the sea, it offers 15 apartments, a restaurant, and stay options that include meal packages.
Breeze was designed to provide guests with a relaxing, immersive holiday, with modern amenities and thoughtful hospitality.
As the project expanded, Nicola and Alessandro inaugurated Lapili Residence in 2019, located just 150 meters from the sea.
With 25 apartments, Lapili features a swimming pool, an a la carte restaurant, and services such as daily cleaning and security, maintaining an intimate and comfortable atmosphere.
Lapili is perfect for those seeking an authentic vacation experience, surrounded by nature and close to the island’s crystal-clear beaches.
Alongside the residential activities, Zanzibar Residence introduced padel to Zanzibar for the first time by founding the Zanzibar Padel association, which has made the island a new hub for this sport.
This initiative paved the way for sports development on the island, creating a community of local and international padel enthusiasts.
The most recent project is the Sporting Residence or Zanzibar Sporting Club, inaugurated in 2022 in Kiwengwa.
The first of its kind in Zanzibar, this sports residence is a true recreational and sports center, featuring a gym, a medical clinic, a semi-Olympic pool, padel courts, and a multi-purpose court for pickleball and mini basketball/three-a-side soccer.
It was designed for those seeking an active vacation and sports enthusiasts, with a focus on community and physical well-being.
Nicola, an Italian architect and co-founder, is the designer of all the structures.
His vision is reflected in every architectural detail, with buildings that harmonize functionality, aesthetics, and integration within the tropical landscape.
